When faced with anxiety or pain, humans sometimes project it outward as an exaggerated signal rather than hide it. These works explore the protective coloration formed by such emotions. The faces combine human, animal, and plant elements, revealing green beams of energy released like compressed emotion, wing-like contours, and patterns that spread like roots and veins. Eyespot-like circles, reminiscent of moth wings, act as additional signals that push fear away. These surfaces are defensive structures shaped before any real intrusion occurs, a form chosen to endure unease. My work traces these moments of transformation as emotion rewrites the surface into new forms.

불안과 고통을 느낄 때 인간은 그것을 숨기기보다 과장된 신호로 외부로 밀어내기도 한다. 이 작업들은 그러한 감정이 만들어낸 자기방어적 보호색을 다룬다. 화면 속 얼굴들은 인간·동물·식물의 요소가 포개지며, 감정이 압축되어 방출된 에너지에 가까운 녹색의 눈물빔과 날개처럼 퍼지는 윤곽, 뿌리와 잎맥이 번져가는 패턴을 드러낸다. 나방의 날개에서 보이는 눈무늬 같은 둥근 형상은 두려움을 밀어내기 위한 또 다른 신호가 된다. 이러한 표면은 실제 침입 이전에 감정이 먼저 구축한 방어 구조이며, 존재가 불안을 견디기 위해 선택한 하나의 형태이다. 나는 이 변형의 순간들, 감정이 표면의 조직을 다시 짜며 새로운 형태를 찾아가는 과정을 기록하고자 한다.

不安や痛みを感じるとき、人間はそれを隠すのではなく、誇張された信号として外へ押し出すことがある。本作は、そうした感情が生み出す自己防衛としての保護色を扱っている。画面の顔は人間・動物・植物の要素が重なり合い、圧縮された感情が放たれたエネルギーのような緑色のビーム、翼のように広がる輪郭、根や葉脈が増殖するようなパターンを示す。蛾の翅に見られる目玉模様のような円形は、不安を退けるためのもう一つの信号となる。これらの表面は、外からの侵入が起こる前に感情が先に築いた防御構造であり、存在が不安に耐えるために選び取った姿である。私は、感情が表層を組み替え、新しい形を立ち上げていくその変化の瞬間を記録している。
